Eugenia “Jeannie” Koulizakis, PT, MPT, graduated from Purdue University in Indiana in 1993 with a Bachelors of Arts degree, then from Nova Southeastern University in 2000 with a Masters in Physical Therapy. Her practice began in Chicago, Illinois where her practice focused primarily on orthopedic and neurological work related injuries, both chronic and acute.

Experience

Ms. Koulizakis has extensive experience working with runners, particularly marathonians and triathletes, and their common injuries, including ankle instability, plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendinitis/tears, chronic shin splints, iliotibial band (ITB) syndrome, knee pain, groin strains, chronic hamstring tightness, chronic psoas tightness, pelvic floor dysfunction, hip and back pain.

Specializations

Ms. Koulizakis is certified in performing FCE’s (Functional Capacity Evaluations). She is also certified in mat Pilates for Rehabilitation Specialists. She specializes in core neurological re-education for the purpose of teaching her patients healthy posture, both static and dynamic. She also has extensive continuing education on home and office work area ergonomics and can make effective, game changing modifications to correct the ergonomics of your workspace to sustain, not work against, the gains you will make while in treatment at Nova Pain and Rehabilitation.
